Way Back Wednesday Fashion: Week 1

This week I have decided to do a "Way back Wednesday Fashion". I have come to realize that fashion is NEVER really old or new. I know what once was old becomes new, so because we all know that now, maybe, we should just hoard all our clothes because then it could be "vintage". Every other week i will do "Way back Wednesday" and "hump day Wednesday" As i explained, "WBWF" will be looking into the fashions of old. "HDW" is love advice LOL

Since summer is basically here & i am from hawaii...

I am obsessed with bikinis!!!!! Even though I haven't looked good in one since wayyyyyyyy back when. Bikinis & swimwear i just cant keep away !!!

This all started alooong time ago. Okay there was this one picture of me on a beach in the cutest yello swimsuit and i just couldnt find it!! So i found one of me and my cousin in the tub in our suits that my yellow suit & this picture of me modeling on the beach. I have always been the ocean girl. My real name is ARIEL for heavens sake!!! ha, needless to say I LOVE THE OCEAN!! 

Being a waterchild, means u need "waterchild" clothes. Swimsuits, bikinis, shorts,  whatever you wanna wear in the ocean. SO my drawers were always filled with swimwear.  

I know the first swimwear was kinda like my picture here and made of wool. YUCK! 

By the 40's the swimsuit split to help with the war conservation effort. 

Then by the 70's it was totally skimpy bright colors and cover ups ;) 

The 90's brought in the sporty Baywatch suits with the high cut legs.

Now days; there are sooo many different cuts and styles :) 

just wear what you feel comfortable in.

Okay SO it is spring time.... Happy Easter Everyone! Where I live in Maui (pukalani) the temperature is in the 80s in the day time and the high 60s at night. I have a weird body temp. In Hawaii it is customary to light up all kinds of fireworks because of the chinese cultural background from the old plantation days. It is believed that fireworks ward off the evil spirits which is good when bringing in a new year. ALL I can say is that 2012 can kick rocks.. It was NOT my favorite year. From moving home from the college life, NOT finding a job, the feeling of NOT progressing..... to my late love passing away in december. Rest in Love Taani! Pale Pale Pale :) Pastels and other rants.

ALOHA! I am loving the new color palette coming out. The pale peaches the mints. It is all so delicious!  No really... It kinda makes me hungry thinking about it.  ;)  Any who! I absolutely love it. If you know me, I love all things girly. I dont stick just to one style. I love everything from frilly and lacy to studded and tight.  I do have to say that the whole pale thing is definitely going down in my book as one of my favorites!  For example: This is exactly what i think is trending right now :) Lets see It has everything going on. Its a lovely shade of peach, its a high-low skirt, and a beautiful bodice. It has all the components and all in the right places :).
